Stalbridge Linen – (Grade 2 Listed) Office Refurbishment
Milborne Port, Sherborne, Dorset
Brief: Change use from storage area to office space.
Duration: 8 weeks
Johnsons Stalbridge Linen in Milborne Port, Sherborne is a large Linen supplier to the Hotel and Catering industries.
Stalbridge Linen approached CSS to provide a quotation for the refurbishment of the ground floor rented offices of a Grade 2 Listed Building: for which CSS were awarded the contract, deadlines and works were scheduled and plans finalised in conjunction with English Heritage & The Local Council Planning Office.
The project was to involve the complete removal of the existing Garage door that was installed in the early 80s and change the use from storage area to an office space, clearing all of the old flooring and re-wiring the ground floor so it had its own dedicated power supply.
Connect Storage Systems had to be very sympathetic to the internal and external elements of the refurbishment and worked closely with English Heritage and the local council to make sure everything was in keeping with the character of the building.
The window to replace the garage doors was made especially for the building following the design of the original building, all paints and internal decorations complied with the English Heritage requests.
The work was undertaken within the time scale of 8 weeks and exceeded the Directors expectations and deadlines. CSS are proud to have completed the works for Johnsons Stalbridge Linen and look forward to many more years of business together.
